UD Corporate Roundtable on Business Analytics: Value-Based Pricing with Machine Learning Models

The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business and Office of Corporate & Community Partnerships present UD Corporate Roundtable.

Join us as we hear from Dr. John Colias, Affiliate Assistant Professor and Director of Business Analytics on Value-Based Pricing With Machine Learning Models.  Recent research has explored the use of machine learning models for product and price optimization.  In this session, Dr. John Colias summarizes findings in recent publications, outlines data requirements, reports case-study results using mixed logit and random forest models, and explains how such models can be used to support value-based pricing efforts.

About our Guest Speaker:

  • As a practitioner of business analytics, John Colias focuses on machine learning, product/price optimization, and marketing analytics.  John teaches as an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at the University of Dallas, where he is Director of the Master of Science in Business Analytics Program. 
  • He is also Senior Vice President with Decision Analyst where he serves as a thought leader, developing new analytic tools, training, and consulting with clients to offer cutting-edge analytic solutions.
  • John holds a doctorate in economics from The University of Texas at Austin, with specializations in econometrics and mathematical modeling methods.

Dr. Colias will answer questions and more based on his experience as a thought leader in business analytics. This virtual event will include Q&A and interactive discussion.
