The MacMillan Institute and the Donald and Louise Cowan Archive celebrate 40 years of the Cowans' vision for primary and secondary education with three talks:

• "Prometheus Unbound in the Public Schools: Teachers with the Cowan 'Spirit of Liberal Learning'" by Ms. Onyema Nweze, Senior Consultant at The MacMillan Institute
• "Technology in Education and Culture" by Dr. John Dyer, VP for educational technology and professor of theology and sociology at Dallas Theological Seminary.
• "Forty Years of the Cowans' Vision for Primary and Secondary Schooling: The Educational Philosophy That Can Transform American Public Education" by Dr. Claudia MacMillan, Executive Director of The MacMillan Institute
