Professional Development Workshop on the Seminar Method

Do you plan on teaching seminar-style? If so, or if you already do but would like to improve, come learn by experiencing a seminar with Dr. Gerard Wegemer! The BGSA's Professional Development Committee invites all Braniff students —yes, both Master's and PhD students!—to take part in a seminar, led by Dr. Wegemer on the short text, "To the Young, on How to Profit from Pagan Literature" by St. Basil, an experienced educator, accomplished classical scholar, and master rhetorician. A Q&A session on the seminar teaching method will follow the discussion of the text. Bagels and coffee will be provided. The text can be found on the BGSA website or you may stop by the Politics Department to claim a hard copy. Dr. Wegemer requests that you please email your short response to the study question posed by 4:00 pm on Friday, November 8th. His email address is wegemer@udallas.edu. If you have questions, please contact Angela Burr at aburr@udallas.edu.
