About this Event
The University of Dallas Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery is proud to announce the installation of the äóìOf a Featheräó exhibit. The group exhibition äóìOf a Featheräó showcases the rich relationship between birds and the artists who love them. Birds have long held a prominent place in art: physically they fascinate with their visual beauty, flight, music and dance, and symbolically they function as harbingers of death, keepers of secrets (äóìa little bird told meäó) and, like the dove, bearers of peace.Featuring artists Kathy Boortz, Isabelle Du Toit, Billy Hassell, Jules Buck Jones, Mark Messersmith and Melodee Ramirez, this exhibition celebrates a very contemporary expression of the unique coloring, exciting patterns and distinctive silhouettes of these winged creatures. The exhibition will run April 5 äóñ May 5, 2019, with the opening reception on Friday, April 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.About the Beatrice M.
