The UD In Dialogue Series continues with a lecture from Daniel Garza, President of the LIBRE Initiative and former communications staffer for the George W. Bush White House. Mr. Garza will discuss the recent dramatic changes to the role that Latino voters play in U.S. elections. Shifts in demography as well as in our policy conversations, he argues, will make it impossible for one political party to take Latino voters for granted or for the other party to ignore them. Mr. Garza will discuss recent and future changes in the way that parties, organizations, and candidates engage and mobilize Latinos. A response will follow from Dr. Mark Petersen, associate professor of History and director of the Latin American Studies concentration.

The Dallas Forum (formerly the APPI) is proudly hosting the ongoing lecture series "UD in Dialogue."
