This exhibition brings together seven ceramic artists who explore traditional and the contemporary, nature and artifact, displacement and sense of belonging through their cross-cultural understanding and interpretation between the cultures of China and the US. Situated in this intersection, these artists have gained valuable experience that gradually informed their ideas and further inspired their artistic practice. In work ranging from functional ware to sculpture, from miniature to installation, the exhibition is the fruit of artists presenting their transcultural experience.
