Executives on Campus with Rick Holland on "Cybercrime Finds a Way"

On Tuesday, March 23 at 6:30 pm Central we will have a live, virtual guest lecture from Rick Holland, Chief Information Security Officer, Vice President Strategy, of Digital Shadows. Digital Shadows is a cyber threat intelligence company. Rick will provide a virtual presentation in Professor Wrozek's class and present to all cybersecurity program students. Rick is an excellent presenter and likes to use movies as analogies in his talks. The title of his presentation is "Cybercrime Finds a Way". Despite law enforcement takedowns, the cybercriminal underground is robust and continues to thrive. Just like the dinosaurs in the 1993 film Jurassic Park, “cybercrime, uh, finds a way.” This presentation will discuss:

  • A brief history of the cybercriminal underground
  • Innovations in the cybercriminal underground
  • The current state of ransomware

The meeting is scheduled to end at 8:30 pm Central so there will be plenty of time afterward to ask Rick your questions about the cybersecurity industry.

Note: Seating is limited to the first 100 registrants.
